The weather is starting to get cooler and two significant events signal that fall is in full swing and winter is on the way. Clayton ran his final Cross Country meet last week! His 5:30 AM practices were becoming very frosty and “warming up” for his meets was getting harder and harder! He showed such discipline. I am so proud of him! He really was a picture of what the Apostle Paul talks about in 1 Cor. 9:27, “I buffet my body and make it my slave…”
Impressive because it seems that all his mother does is “buffet” my body-you know, like on a cruise ship or in an all you can eat restaurant!
The other event was Halloween! I lit pumpkin spice candles, made home made vegetable soup (with lots of okra!), had a fire in the fireplace, and put together costumes! Connor is a “Cars” movie fanatic. So, he dressed up as one of Lightning Mcqueen’s pit crew for trick or treating! He always has fun, lives big and collects lots of candy! Good thing, since his mother is a “buffeter!” Ha!
