It was a thrill and honor to be part of the Good Morning America program. In an earlier post I provided some behind the scenes photos when Phil and I were in New York for the interview.
Below you'll find the GMA segment. I do hope that it will provide a sense of hope for anyone dealing with darkness – in whatever form it comes.
For my friends who deal with physical darkness, I hope the gadgets I have provided for you on the left column of this blog will be helpful. I should note I do not own all of them, but many are on my wish list.
I also hope my book Self Talk, Soul Talk will be a helpful resource. The contents and thoughts I provide in the book are not theoretical – they are something I live with and do every day. And it seems like many others do too. I’ve also provided some supplementary materials at my book blog found at www.selftalksoultalk.com.
Finally, do keep in touch. I’d love for you to subscribe to my Java with Jennifer eNewsletter – it’s a monthly update I send out to new and old friends. (See the subscribe button in top right corner.) And of course, I would love for you to leave your comments below and at the Good Morning America website. The producers and anchors love to know if a story resonates with their audience.
To Robin Roberts, Cathy and the entire GMA team, thank you for shedding light and encouragement to so many – including me.

P.S. As you will see on the show, God has blessed me with my very own Dr. Phil and two incredible boys, Clayton and Connor.

Good morning!
It was a blessing to see you on GMA this morning. Your story is an inspiration, and I was moved to tears because it was a message I needed to hear.
Last year, I was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa. Devastation is the only word I can use to describe it. I am thankful for what I have but some days are challenging.
Your life gives me hope!
Blessings,
Melanie

Oh Jennifer, I am jumping up and down as I see your beautiful face on TV! I give thanks to God for you and Phil as you go forth spreading a sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Christ. Praising the Lord for His hand to stay upon you as He leads you forward. Thank you so much for sharing of His love, grace and mercy. I know there had to be thousands encouraged by your testimony! All my love, Teresa

What a pleasure to see you (again) on GMA. I had been to your Fresh Grounded Faith conference on April 18 & 19 in Richmond, VA and was more than blessed to see you in person. So to see you again on GMA was a double blessing. I know that you can not see your image in a mirror -- but I would like to tell you that you are truly a beautiful lady both inside and out. God bless you as you continue your ministry.
Many blessings to you and yours, Libby

Self Talk, Soul Talk is a book that must be read by every woman in the world....I have read it and I am rereading it. It is a positive in my daily walk and it speaks truth. I am filling myself with what God thinks of me and what He has to say to me, and not the lies I have heard all my life. Thank you Jennifer for this book....you SAW the heart of so many of us. - Patricia Amorosi

Sorry, Jennifer, I am in New Zealand and unfortunately don't get to see this. But I believe it would have been very good, since your word on self talk is a great word.

Jennifer,
I watched your segment last night and was very blessed by it. I often let my thoughts limit what I can do even though I have no physical limitations. When I see all you are doing, you inspire me to get past my negative thoughts and use what God has given me for Him. May God bless your ministry.

Dear Jennifer,
As always, your sweet, willing-to-be-obedient spirit was evident in your GMA spot. Your message is always the same for me: hope with capital letters! In my former 'home' church, I had the great privilege of leading several of your Bible studies and have learned so much about the Lord and His word, and about your heart. All the ladies with whom I studied each week would, I know, be able to say the same thing. You are, as Robin said on GMA, a 'gift' yourself. An inspiring and encouraging gift from God to all who have the distinct honor of "knowing" you through your ministries in His name. Thank you so much for your obedience. My young granddaughter was diagnosed last year with Type 1 Diabetes just two weeks before her 13th birthday. I look forward to sharing the web version of your appearance on GMA with her soon. May God's rich blessings continue to be poured out on you and your family and your ministry and staff. With much love and appreciation, Shirley Wiggins.

I was able to view your segment on-line and I am SO GRATEFUL that this technology is available for me. However, I am more grateful that God has blessed you with new technology in order for your message of hope to reach so many others. This GMA interview reminded me of a passage in one of your books that I treasure so much, where you said something about God "trusted" your mother to be the one to raise you. That gives me hope as I raise a special needs son - God trusts me to be his Mom. Even though we face life's challenges, I feel honored that God does, indeed, trust me!
Bless you my dear sole sister-Tricia

What a thrill to see you on GMA. I am a follower and a "Sole Sister." You are such an inspiration for me and my work with women's ministry at my church.
Thank you, Jennifer.

What a blessing. When I feel that everything seems insurmountable, God sends someone like you along, to show me that He cares for us, in all circumstances!
