Coffee - Keurig Style

I love my Keurig.

I got it for Christmas and in my “Taste of Java” email in late December, I asked you what your favorite coffee blends were.  Wow, I am clearly not alone in my coffee interest (aka addiction!) So many of you responded and if I were doing an informal survey,  I’d have to say the Donut Shop Blend is a favorite of my Java friends.  This info was too good to keep to myself so I thought I would share it.  Thanks for telling me your favorites and please, keep the comments coming about blends you’ve tried!

Denise was just one of about 30 who loves the Original Donut Shop Blend.

Donut Shop Decaf
Green Mountain Coffee Half-Calf (great when you want the caffeine but not so intense)Green Mountain Coffee French Roast Decaf

Jean recommended Tully's French Roast, bold! And Green Mountain Breakfast blend. 

Carol told me to try the Hazelnut. (Which I did and it is fabulous!) 

Farrah enjoys Vanilla Caramel Coffee, Chai Latte and many more.

As for me, I am loving the Dark Magic and the Caribou blend. 

So, what kinds do you like?  And even more importantly, what kinds have you tried that you didn’t like?!  Those little K-Cups are too expensive to do too many taste tests so please let me know your thoughts! 

Last thing…I did get one of those nifty little K-Cups that you can fill with your own coffee. So, my Gutsy Girl and Girlfriend Blends are not forgotten!  Several of you told me about it-thanks!

What You've Learned

In my “Taste of Java” email that I sent at the end of 2010, I told you what I learned last year and asked you to share with me what you learned.  Here’s part of what I wrote: 

“This past year, God has taught me the importance of being connected with others; to discipline myself to receive His rest and enjoy the freedom of living in His Acceptance.” 

You Java friends were so great to tell me what you’ve learned.  Here’s some of the inspiring things you wrote to me: 

Kathy said: “The one thing I learned this year was how to not diet ever again!  I read a book written in 1975 by a woman by the name of Frances Hunter, called God's Answer to Fat - Lose It.  She was an evangelist (I don't know if she's still alive), but she struggled with her weight the same way I have all of my adult life.  Her honesty and success in losing her weight was so helpful.  Between her book and a renewed trust in Jesus as my choice (not food), I have lost 15 pounds already - and that's through the holidays, too!“ 

Jean said: “This past year I have learned to believe God is there, is who He says He is, does what He says He will do and that He accepts me no matter how badly I mess up.” 

Dina said: “I haven't thought too much about what God's been saying to me except for maybe slow down and learn to say "no" to things that will just make me busier. Of course, he's always trying to teach me patience, but that's an ongoing task.” 

Thanks for sharing-you inspire me.  We learn from each other, don’t we?   If you haven’t already, Please tell me what you learned in 2010.  I wanna know! (And so do the rest of our Java Friends!!)
