October 2009 Prayer Requests from Jennifer

I need your prayers - if you have time, will you please consider praying for me? Here is my prayer list for this month:
 

1. There are two more Fresh Grounded Faith events this year: Springfield, MO and Clearwater, FL.  Please pray for God's peace, truth and grace to be communicated through all of us involved.  There are women who desperately need hope and we need Christ in us to bring them hope.
 
2. We are in the midst of finalizing the Fresh Grounded Faith calendar for next year and getting friends to join me on the platforms.  Please pray we follow God's leading in asking just the right guests for just the right cities so just the right women hear just the right messages at just the right time!  We really don't want to do anything God is not leading us to do.
 
Thanks from the bottom of my heart for praying for us.  We are grateful for your partnership in prayer.

September 2009 Prayer Requests

I need your prayers - if you have time, will you please consider praying for me? Here is my prayer list for this month:
 

1.  Hero Dad got a great report from the Doctor!  Thanks for praying and thank You Lord.
 
2.  As I mentioned in Taste This, Genia is doing well but still having chemo treatments until December.  Please continue to pray for her spirit and body-she inspires me.
 
3.  I am praying for wisdom as to know what to do and how to do it when it comes to my next book/Bible study.  Though I know the topic, I am having great difficulty making it happen!  I need to know from God how to proceed, forge on or sit out for a spell.
 
Isn't it true that we are a needy people?!
 
I know you have needs and requests too-let's lift each other to God's throne in prayer and Believe for His best in each of our lives.

August 2009 Prayer Requests

I need your prayers - if you have time, will you please consider praying for me? Here is my prayer list for this month:
 
1.  Hero Dad is doing well-still dealing with some residuals of treatment.  Thanks from the bottom of my heart for praying for him and my sweet mother.  God heard and answered.

2.  We have several Fresh Grounded Faith Events in the Fall and I need prayer!  I want each of us on the FGF team to be filled with God's Spirit, rooted and grounded in love and used by God to fulfill His purposes.  Pray for us-we are all flawed and don't want to get in the way of His work.

3.  I am starting my writing in earnest on September 1!  I am excited, nervous and aware of how much I need God.  Please pray for insight, discipline and God's wisdom.  This is a Bible study about...well...the title isn't firm, but it deals with "Theodicy."  Tough subject.  When you know what "Theodicy" is, you know why I need prayer!

July 2009 Prayer Requests

I need your prayers - if you have time, will you please consider praying for me? Here is my prayer list for this month:
 
1.  My Dad's surgeries were canceled due to complications and instead, he had 17 more radiation treatments.  We are so grateful those were completed at the end of this month.  Thanks so much for praying.  He had no pain this last cycle and we are confident he will be back to his wonderful self in no time!
 
2.  Thanks for praying for wisdom for us in determining the timing of my next Bible Study and Trade Book.  Gratefully, God has confirmed the subject matter and I am passionate and eager to follow His Lead in writing.  I just need clarity on the timing of each.
 
3. It has been way too long since my last CD project and I've forgotten all the details that need attention to release!  I sure want this CD to bring peace and minister to listeners-pray that we pull all the parts together in a timely way so it can be released in the fall. 
 
4. We have lots of Fresh Grounded Faith Events in the fall.   Pray for our whole team-we need it! Please pray that we are good stewards of the hearts God gives us to minister to and that I steward well the messages He wants me to share.

June 2009 Prayer Requests

I need your prayers - if you have time, will you please consider praying for me? Here is my prayer list for this month:

1.  Thanks for praying for my hero dad.  Because of past complications, he is no longer a candidate for surgery and will instead have 17 more external radiation treatments. His pain has subsided and he is feeling much better--thanks for praying!  He is still a steadfast example of faith and optimism. My mom has been a paragon of kindness and strength, and I admire her spirit so much.  Please pray for continued grace to be within and upon her. 
 
2.  I am working hard on putting my thoughts into outline form for my next Bible study and book.  Please pray I only respond to leading from the Holy Spirit, rather than self-imposed pressure from my type A personality!
 
3.  Summer is big planning time for our Fresh Grounded Faith events.  We are finalizing guests and cities for 2010.  We need God's guidance and favor.  Theresa Wiggins is our conference director, and we are so grateful for God leading her to us.  Please pray for all things FGF to be under God's control.

May 2009 Prayer Requests

I need your prayers - if you have time, will you please consider praying for me? Here is my prayer list for this month:

1. Please keep my Dad in your prayers.  Treatment is taking a toll on his stamina and he is dealing with some difficult pain.  He has two surgeries on June 12 and 19.  Thank you for remembering him. 
 
2. God has met us at the last Fresh Grounded Faith events and brought many women to His Son.  We are so, so grateful.  Please pray for the women God has brought into the family.  Pray for Kimberly as a representative of all the new sisters in Christ that have come to faith in the last month. 
 
3. Our wonderful assistant, Kathryn, is going to India for the third time on missions. Please pray for her safety and that God will use her to show His love and truth.
 
4. Thanks for keeping the CD project in your thoughts and prayers.  It's coming along and I will be in the studio this month.

April 2009 Prayer Requests

I need your prayers - if you have time, will you please consider praying for me? Here is my prayer list for this month:

1. Thanks for praying for my Hero Dad.  He is now in the third week of radiation and it's starting to take away his shine.  Please pray for strength for him, energy for my sweet Mom and that God will use this treatment to heal him completely.
 
2. Thanks too for praying for Aunt Carol.  We are just waiting for the doctors and time to confirm what we know to be true...no more cancer!
 
3. My friend Genia needs our prayers.  Though she is feeling much better, her low white count has kept her from chemo for three weeks now.  The chemo was proving to be effective.  In fact, the doctor told her she was "chemo sensitive."  To that she responded, "I am prayer sensitive!"  She is, we all are, so let us pray.
 
4. God is really drawing women to the FGF Events.  Many women came to faith in Christ in Rochester, MN and we want to steward what He has called us to do in Atlanta, and Getzville.  Pray we will be wise, sensitive and protected - may He reign.
 
I know you have needs close to your heart too so please know as I seek your prayers, as best as I know how, I lift you (even if I don't know your name, God does) to the Throne of Grace.

March 2009 Prayer Requests

I need your prayers - if you have time, will you please consider praying for me? Here is my prayer list for this month:

The late 17th century poet George Herbert once described prayer as "the soul in paraphrase, heart in pilgrimage."  Sometimes it's hard to put our heart-cries into words, isn't it?  I thank you with deep sincerity for joining me on my heart's pilgrimage in prayer. 
Here are my biggest requests:
 
1.  My Aunt Carol has finished chemo and is now in the radiation phase of her treatment. Please continue to pray for healing and stamina. 
 
2.  My hero, Dad, starts his radiation in the next few weeks, and from his last test, it appears the cancer has spread slightly.  Please pray for containment and quick supernatural results in the coming weeks. 
 
3.  Thank you for praying for my friend Genia.  She is able to eat finally and it seems the chemo is working.  Her strength is improving and her spirits are good.  Please continue to ask God for total healing.   
 
4.  After all my precious family and friends are struggling so, this request seems shallow, but...please pray for my CD project.  I am doing the vocals in April, and I am the most insecure, unconfident singer when I get in the vocal booth!  I want to rightly represent the messages of these songs. Pray I forget myself and have vocal strength.

February 2009 Prayer Requests

I need your prayers - if you have time, will you please consider praying for me? Here is my prayer list for this month:

1.  Please continue to pray for my Aunt Carol and my friend Genia.  They are both battling cancer and need God's healing and help during this tough season. 
 
2.  My precious Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer recently.  After extensive tests, we are relieved to discover it is treatable.  Please pray for his treatment plan to be exactly what God intends.  And pray for strength, protection and healing.  My Dad is my hero.  
 
3.  The CD project is coming along.  Thanks for praying.  The musicians are scheduled to lay down tracks in mid March.  Pray for Kevin and the musicians to capture the heart of the message of my newest album.
 
I know you have many things and people dear to your heart that you bring daily to God's Throne also.  May we all hold each other up in prayer as we continue to walk by faith.

January 2009 Prayer Requests

I need your prayers - if you have time, will you please consider praying for me? Here is my prayer list for this month:

1. Thanks for praying for my Aunt Carol.  Her chemo is going along as expected and she remains strong in her spirit.  Please continue to pray for healing and strength.

 

2. Thanks too for praying for Genia.  She is fighting hard and her tumor has shrunk!  Thank You Lord.  She still has a very long road of uncertainty ahead but we are resting fully on God's goodness.  

 

3. On February 11, 2009 I will be in Washington D.C. for a dinner sponsored by the Foundation Fighting Blindness.  I am excited to be a part of such a special event and I have the privilege of making some remarks to the audience attending.  Please pray that I am wise, concise and give light and encouragement to those listening.

 
4. Me, Myself and Lies: A Thought Closet Makeover is finally out!  Thank you Lord.  Pray it goes into women's hands and hearts and gives freedom and victory in their thought lives.
